Default '87 Monte SS with '01 LS1 Firebird - wont run properly!

Hi! I'm new here and want to begin with appologising for my horrible english

I own a Chevy Monte Carlo SS '87. Removed the old 305 and bought a LS1 from '01 Pontiac Firebird with 4L60E transmission.
The engine is in the car, starts and runs but there is a problem here :o
It uses 3-4 liters / 10km (approx. 1gal/mile?), ideling at 500 rpm, smells and smokes badly (burns my eyes while wating 30sec for the green light).
Hooking up the OBD2 I get no critical errors. Check engine light-error, no cooling fan ect... At first I thought this was air coming in between the throttlebody and MAF.. but no... Any ideas?

Gonna need a data stream of all the PIDs to properly diagnosis this.

It needs to be grounded to the cylinder head, not the valve cover.

Everything else had good groundconnection, the valvecover (and then also the 4 coil's mounted on it) had 44ohms to the negative battery-pole..
I find that odd... Since the valvecover is bolted to the cylinderhead..?

Valve covers are not a good ground since they're insulated by the rubber gasket and the rubber seals around the bolts.

From what I can see the gasket for the bolts is between the cylinderhead and the valvecover, not between the bolt and valvecover... Aaaanyway: Problem solved! And notes taken for the next engineswap

You aren't seeing that little rubber Grommet under the bolt Head.
