4l60e shifter options in mustang

Default 4l60e shifter options in mustang
Looking for some help on this. Im swapping my 04 mustang mach 1 to ls with 4l60e what type of shifter options do i have when it comes down to the 60e in my car? will a stock mustang shifter work??

i used a locar shifter in my 49' chevy, easy install and looks great,. i dont see why you wouldnt beable to make your factory shifter work,you just have to modify the cable shift bracket and make sure its timed properly

Yes the stock Mustang shifter works. You have to modify the end of the cable that goes on the tranny. Also, you have to come up with some sort of range selector. I went with a Dakota Digital unit.

i used a corvette c5 shifter when i did mine. it fits and looks close to factory. i had to cut and bend the rod to clear the trans. i still have it if you want it.

C5 shifter is genious!! I am using a stock 01 mustang shifter but reverese is between R and N and drive is where 2nd is on the shifter.
