Hey guys, here to share some updates!
Jim has been super patient while I have worked on his Porsche over the past year. Between the newest addition to my family, setting up my new shop and etc progress has been dragging and at the same time the project has also snowballed.
Either way, I have some great news and updates to share as the car enters it's final stages.
Quick rundown of what's currently in the chassis....
Motor is a built 408ci stroker. Its all stuffed inside an aluminum LS2 block and topped off with some lightly worked 243 heads. Cam is a custom n/a grind and fairly aggressive. Long block is topped off with a FAST LSxR 102 and cable throttle body.
Transmission is still the OEM AWD Porsche transaxle mated together with a Renegade Hybrids adapter and clutch.
The rest of the Renegade kit has been completely redesigned as I hated it.
The new front motor plate is 1/2" and incorporates o-ring water jacket ports for the remote water pump.

All -12AN twin lines run to the newely machined heater blocks and thermostat housing.

Originally we had planned on running a stock style ECM and harness, but recently decided that a Holley HP would much better fit the application

And after countless hours of changes, revisions, fabrication, modifications, wiring, plumbing and etc...we have FINALLY reached this point today!

Looks like ALOT of improvements going on there. Is the motor slightly relocated ? Like maybe an extra 1/2 inch on the top and an extra 1" forward. Mine can just barely get the hood flush with the air intake. I like the redesigned motor mounts and coolant hoses, looks very professional.

We eliminated the RH motor plate, the chassis now uses my design. (The RH plate did not fit the FAST intake in the throttle body area).
We eliminated the RH water blocks (the water ports are integrated into my plate via -10/-12 O-Ring adapters).
Water pump bracket was redesigned and relocated.
Basically, the only thing left from RH we retained was the bellhousing adapter and remote mount power steering pump.

Do you have any intention of making your RH improvements into any sort of production? I am on the fence about building one with RH's kits, but people don't seem to have good things to say about the overall kit.

Would it be best to call the shop to talk or just message? Is what you have built 996 c4 specific, not saying I don't want awd lsx power. It all comes down to what kind of donor car I can find.

Sorry for long delay, but here is a quick update.
Finishing up AN lines going to heater and steam vents. Making a SS block for the oil pressure sending unit for Porsche gauge in the dash. Rear deck lid is being modified to fit larger intake (still making revisions).
Pictures will be posted soon.

Subbed and looking forward to updates. Where did you end up mounting the PCM/Holley HP? Under the seat or was there enough room on the back panel with all the convertible stuff? Any pictures?

The Holley tuner is mounted on top of the Porsche ECM board and I was going to make a dummy panel over it. Having the engine cover modification being done, I have to redo all of the rear deck carpet anyways.
Here are a couple of pictures!
