Default Ls1 install YouTube Video

I posted a timelapse YouTube video of the engine install. It's just 3 old guys running around real fast but you may enjoy it.

Here is the link

Looks like a clean build.

What did you use for front struts, spindles and brakes? Thanks.

This is a cool project. Would you mind going into more detail about the build? It looks like you fabricated that sub-frame to convert the car to rwd and cut out the main front cross member? That's pretty ambitious. Very interesting, i'd like to know more. In for progress.

I love this build, the time and patience you have put into it and the originality I love it! since you have the pattern for the chassis would you have any interests in building one for anyone else?

Hey man, thanks for contacting (PMing) me.. I will help out any way I can. Not sure if your the first HHR swap ever but if so i knowthe struggles. Being the first Kia Sorento with an LSx i had some interesting hurdles to jump. Anything you need let me know. I can't wait to read your whole thread but its 3:30am and im finally tired enough to get past feeling like my bed is moving around on its own and that lightning is firing up my leg nerve to passout... lol

Emissions is kind of a gray area......smog test can be had. And there is always Arizona.
