Cool thanks. My buddy has a 5th gen and the brakes are the only thing I like about it. I'll have to look into that. I assume a 17" RTS' will clear them.

but RTS are goood and have alot off clearance from what ive seen and heard
im just speaking of direct bolt on 17" wheels for thirdgen as there not many options for direct bolt on unless there forged custom of some sort...but can get RTS direct bolt on if you spec them out correctly .. guy on TGO running 18x10.5 or 10 i believe all around with no spacers IIRC
are you putting on a thirdgen?
but good thing you can get RTS to fit most cars due to wide range of options high, low, med pad, offsets etc etc and the cheap for a forged wheel compared to other brands which is a good thing
only pet peeve is the double barrel construction with short spokes which gives the illusuion that wheel is smaller than it is so i like 18" version as its the best compromise and im not a fan of 20" wheels .. but i assume its for strength reasons..

I have a 1990 IrocZ and im swapping a LS1 into it in my apartment and in the parking lot straigh backyard stuff
so im Crossing over to the dark side lol
Your not doing what you said unless you got pics well here they go
Got time today to tear down engine for inspection
Craigslist guy said there was a upper knock
Hmmmm I wonder what that might be
Found a needle bearing about 2 or 3 chilling
But wait there's more
Like my new chop stick
Tried to get good pic of cylinder wall didn't come out good
Still see crosshatch
But there is more
Looks like valentines day and someone got luck with a kiss
Check valves but didn't see damage to the bottom of any
not going to use the the heads also had a bent valves slight leak to the valve that kiss piston
valvetrain
cam bearing
better pic of what cam bearing look like
So final thoughts
Looks like they bent a pushrod it also looks like they tried to save money and just replace one push rod as this was the only clean one
i think its safe to assume that valve kiss piston bent rod and bent a valve also
Another piston had fluid in it I'm not sure from disassembly smell like fuel but could be water hard to tell used a napkin and wife said it smell like gas tho no rust spots etc
Could be gasket ? During disassembly or when engine was on its side idk not a issue im worried about tho
yes in my apartment room
