Default Show your trunk set up w/Impala Tank on GM A-bodies!

I'm trying to decide how I want to close the hole in my 71 Cutlass floor from the Impala tank. Would love to see pictures of those that have done it w/a removable section (so you can still access the fuel pump/sending unit). I've seen a few on search, but I'm betting there are more. Yes I want to steal, uhm, borrow, your great ideas!

Thx!!

The Filler Neck and Cap.

Modified the Mounting pads to give the tank a level seating pad.

Mounted and side clearance.

I trimed the frame about 1/4" for about 9" on each side.

The Access Cover and Cut hole.

The Fuel feed, Return and Vent

That should about cover it

Here are the mods I made to my tank: https://ls1tech.com/forums/8709100-post317.html

I'll take some pics of my trunk tonight. I just welded up the floor so it has a hump in it now, but no access panel. Dropping the tank really isn't a huge issue for me.
