finished the th400 up tonight and got the frame rails painted. i got the 8.8 out of a explorer and had a guy narrow the one side 3 inches. got all the wheels and tires. built my own traction bars (had rubber snubbers out in picture), got the motor together probably gonna put it in tomorrow and build mounts around my brp headers. got everything other than drive shaft, radiator and some small things and got a little over 4200 in it. not bad i dont think.

Under $3000.00 no problem, I have $about $2600.00 in mine but I've not done the Rear End Yet. I've seen a kick *** rear Tubular Frame Set Up with a 9" already in it for around $1k on craigslist in Ohio, called and talked to the Guy and he's pretty firm on the price.
Here's mine...

I built my 87 C10 short bed for less than 2500 with a 4.8, 4l60E, stall, and Autometer gauges. I feel like it would have a high 12 in it. I'll find out this winter though. Just gotta be smart with what you buy. I did a lot of buying a selling and came up about 2500 in it after I got it on the road.
