Default Foxbody lsx build questions

Ok I'm thinking about picking up a 4.8 out of a truck this weekend, complete engine, thinking about running it cam only for awhile and maybe next year or sooner throwing a turbo on it, so my first question is, will the 4.8 be ok for this plan? Don't see many using the 4.8.

Now as far as the swap into my fox goes, I'm hoping I have everything covered but if not just let me know because I need all the advice I can get!!

If I go EFI:
Aje k member and mounts
Ls6 intake
Custom Wiring harness with PCM
Fbody oil pan
Fuel system
2010 camaro exhaust manifolds

Now if I go carb(less headache):
Aje k member with mounts
Edelbrock carb kit
Carb
Fbody oil pan
Fuel system
2010 camaro manifolds

Now as far as the tranny, I'm not sure what to do here, the car is a 5 speed right now but I was thinking turbo 350/400 or 4l60e but I know nothing about autos or how to make them work in a swapped car??

Now although it seems the carb will be the easier of the two to complete the swap it also seems to be more expensive than EFI unless I am missing stuff??

And yes I have used the search but can't find answers to some of these questions, so any and all help would be awesome!!!

I think the 4.8 is the odd ball engine, don't see many around here. Why not get the wiring harness and computer when you get the engine and use it instead of a custom wiring harness. ? Save some money

Yeah I guess I could try that, just wasn't a big fan of doing the wiring myself, lol. But I just need to know if I should pull the trigger on this 4.8 or not.

Also, is it true that the team z k member will let you use the truck oil pan? So by going with that k-member i would actually save money, since i wouldnt have to buy an fbody pan?

But i also just read that you cant use your stock suspension with the team z k member? You have to run coil overs?..

A truck oil pan hangs WAY low in a fox body, no matter what K-member you use.

I believe you can use the truck oil pan with pretty much any k member. People don't normally use it because it will hang much lower than the k member, unless you modify it by cutting and welding.
