so buddy gave me a c5 radiator that i decided to use for mock up since i think im goin to use a ltx/lsx radiator/fan setup. finally pulled the old exhaust out, made some templates for the holes in the firewall so i can make plates at work to cover them, started fabbing up my trans crossmember and put the motor in again to see if the belt i got will finally work (it does).

so went to the junkyard today. got some connectors i needed for my $40 harness i bought, actually found a decent set 2 piece American Racing wheels, stopped by a buddies to pick up his radiator/fan setup and he gave me a aluminum driveshaft. oh also my buddy finished my intake elbow. made some filler panels at work for the holes in the firewall.

mounted my trans today with my modified trans mount and a energy suspension mount. changed one of the idler pulleys to one with a lip on both sides. modified the stock radiator brackets and mounted the radiator ad fans.

and my ghetto rigged wheel degreaser tank. lol

decided to start my wiring today. doing it a little different then i usually do. cutting each plug off of the harness (of course marking the wires) and then going to run each one individually.

also found out the my stock a-arms (that i just had new bushings put on) wont fit my aje k-member which is weird cause ive heard/seen lots of people run it like this.,

What's the deal with the aje k member with stock a-arms? I plan on doing the same thing.

thanx.

so last night i got another freebie. set of 36-42lb injectors (i have to check the part number my buddy couldnt remember what size they were but they were on his blown ls1).

think i might have a new issue now that i have the injectors. looks like i might have an issue with the fuel rail. hopefully not or if so itll be a simple fix.

also got my a-arms to fit into the k-member and test fitted my wheels i picked up (not sure if im keeping the wheels, pretty much picked them up cause the 5 lug swap and they were cheap). although i do kinda like the color i painted them. ( i know most of you wont like them but its my car so ha, lol)

This may sound dumb, but couldn't you use a carb spacer to get more space for the fuel rail?

I could but I think the rails might fit. Looking at pics and it looks like the rails sit at about the same height as the to of the manifold. I will be ordering the rails this coming Friday so I guess I'll see when I get them.
