put in a good day saturday. Got the f body alternator installed and the pitman arm was hitting it. So we tilted the steering box down and redrilled the holes in the frame to keep it there. Also got a shorter castle nut and cut off the extra 2-3 threads that were sticking up past the top of it.
Also did some more patch work in the trunk.
And the last thing was the access we cut to get to the trans cooler lines. Probably going to just screw a gasketed piece of metal over this when Im done just in case i need to get in there again later. Just makes it easier work with the lines because the tunnel is pretty tight quarters.

We locate the bungs for our mid-length headers and the Hooker cast iron manifolds for the 2nd-gen applications in the adapter pipes that we sell to attach them both to the Hooker 2nd-gen exhaust systems...you may want to investigate doing something similar.

Got the trunk finished up yesterday and installed the core support w/ factory style radiator from 1975. The upper hose seems pretty straight forward, the water pump side had to be trimmed some as the did the center of the hose but the radiator side was the right size, what are the odds? I figured I would just go ahead and put my splice here in the upper hose w/the port for the steam vents to hook up to. Not sure on the lower hose yet, it definitely doesn't hook up. I also had the factory trans lines from the 04 Silverado the trans came out of. They fit the car pretty well but will need to be cut near the middle of the pan and I'll use a union fitting there to attach some lines with the proper fittings on the other end to hook up to my factory radiator.
Here we were playing around w/ some of the factory air intake stuff from the express van.

Progress looks alot better bro, Cant wait for you to be done with your car to see how it looks. I havent touched my 79 camaro since April, although I did buy a passenger side fender & both complete doors off a 77 camaro since I needed them for replacement. My 99z28 held me back a few month since i had a lifter collapse on my Ls1 motor in May I had to wait & save for another cam & buy other parts to get it going again. but ill be getting back to my 79z in late November.
