Basics for a LS swap into a 1990 Chevy C1500?

Im also looking into doing a swap on my 94 gmc 1500 I have been debating on upgrading to a 4l80e was there much modification needed to the trans tunnel and drive shafts as well as the shift linkage if and when I do the swap I plan to get the trans and engine as one unit

Fuel pump We swapped a 2001 5.3 into 1989 Silverado with a 4L80e, used generic swap plates with the 305 mounts. Used some generic mid length headers for 2001 Silverado. Ran the factory 5.3 harness with the underhood fuse panel only 4 wires to hook up 12v to fuel, PCM, ignition.

You can use the 5.3 harness but you need to modify it. I went with a pre made harness from BP-Automotive and you only need to connect 4 wires. I did my swap back in 2011. If i was going to do it today i would use the holley terminator X setup. Way easier to setup and if you want to upgrade cam or heads much easier to program then buying Hptuners and learning or spending money to have someone tune it everytime you make a change.

I'm doing the same oname a 88 firebird it was a 305 tbi I'm putting a 200 5.3 truck engine in with the Trany from the truck as well I got the engine in I'm having trouble with the wiring do you have digram for what you did with the factory harness wiring in the factory badges I'm no expert I'm just getting started
