Alternator only?!

Alternator only?!

I've got a ls2 with ls1 crank an alternator, but have electric water pump an power steering! So I only need to run the alternator ? How would I set this up? I don't know what to search for the alternator sits on the lower right an only has a idler pulley on the bracket. So does it need a tensioner?

You either need a tensioner, or you need an alternator bracket that is the tensioner(like the CBR relocation bracket)

Some people just put a manual tensioner in place of the lower idler pulley.

You might be able to find a stretch belt in the correct size. The 09-up trucks use them for the AC compressor.

a couple of people also make a bracket to replace the stock one with one that has a Turnbuckle/heim joint setup...the bracket is the tensioner...
made for guys just doing alternator only..

This sounds like what I need!!! But can you link me to some info or explain a little bit more in detail
