Right now I'm planning on putting it about center of the firewall behind the dash.

That's where I mounted mine. I made some brackets that utilized existing bolts on the back of the factory radio. I plan on leaving the radio in so it was a perfect place to keep the PCM hidden and it will get plenty of air. I also mounted my engine fuse panel and OBDII port in the glove box. I used some ABS to stiffen up the cardboard walls of the glove box and provide a solid mounting surface.

Awesome thanks for the heads up Leadfoot. I was really hoping that it would work out this way so I can have my wires enter the firewall behind the motor so they would be hard to see. The glove box idea is great also in order to keep everything clean and original looking.

Small update got oil pan gasket changed, all the trans seals changed, still waiting on my fly wheel spacer so I can install the motor and trans.

While I'm waiting I started looking for all the bolts to assemble the intake but can't find them don't know if I lost them or didn't get them with the motor. Does anyone know what size bolts I need or a cheap place to source some for the truck intake?

The bolts that mount the intake to the heads or the throttle body bolts? The ones that mount the intake to the heads have gaskets and sleeves built in them.

I'm needing the ones that mount the intake to the heads. I've been searching the web but can't come up with anything.

Thanks for the link Tipsy. Are the car intake bolts the same as the ones for the truck intake?

Car and truck intake bolts are different lengths.
