87 Buick Grand National 5.3 Turbo Swap
Hello - new to this site, and finally taking the plunge .. For years I was that turbo buick guy who believed in the 3.8 and thats what it had to be, but lately I've changed my mind, and wanting the lsx upgrade. I've been searching around trying to find the best combo.. and having some trouble and what I need to find next .. so some help would be fantastic ... I want to keep a low budget as well.. I'm looking to get somewhere around the 500hp range, and from what I gather that is a fairly low expectation from this setup.
So far, I aquired a 5.3 and a 2wd 4l60E, harness and ECM...
I know I have to get a camaro/firebird/corvette upper intake manifold for height purposes. Will the stock injectors work? My car currently has a hotwired walbro 255 pump, will this also work?
my biggest delima is the turbo, which one will do best.. I have 2 stock grand national turbos, an aftermarket Percision TA49 and I just found a Percision 6766 (which I'm really wanting to use) .... which is the best to use?
I got a FMI already, that is pressure tested to hold 100psi, so this will work fine. I'm good at wiring so I'm going to alter the wiring harness myself to work in the car ..
I will get the engine mounts and the mechanical tailshaft for the speedo, and I will make a rear crossmember ..
whats next?

I know you will have to go to a larger size injectors in order to feed enough fuel for the power you will be making. As to the turbo's I can't help. What year is the motor, harness etc.

I have no idea on the injector size. It will depend entirely on the horsepower you think it will make. There are injector charts available and also look at what some of the others have done with similiar builds to yours. That should give you an idea.
