Default Manifolds for a 65 impala with a 5.3?

Putting together a 65 impala with a 5.3. I'm using the holley pan and transdapt mounts. I know you can use the camaro headers but this car is gonna be a total driver and manifolds will suite it better. Does anyone know what will fit it? I have a set of trucks and they hit the steering box.

I am doing a 65 Bel Air and was going with manifolds, but also have not found any that will clear the factory steering box. Dynatech 69 Camaro swap headers fit for sure. I know that kwhizz got a CPP (Classic performance) steering box and 2010 camaro manifolds fit, but I do not think they will work with the factory box.

Hope this helps

I'm gonna check the measurements out on the hooker manifolds tomorrow and if they are close I think I'll try them.

I forgot that I had a set of trailblazer ss manifolds sitting around, I tried them and they fit perfect. So for anyone doing B body swaps in the future there ya go...

Honestly it looks like Hooker designed those after the TBSS manifolds cause they look just alike. I couldn't see those sitting further away from the block than the TBSS ones so im positive they would fit! I would have bought those if I hadn't remembered that I had these sitting around.

You guys think a truck manifold would fit on the passenger side of a 65 without a/c? I have the driver side manifold from a 5.3 envoy (same as tbss) to clear the steering box, but I'm hoping to run the Silverado manifold on the passenger side. Any thought? Thanks.

It will. I have a 66, tried it on mine. I ordered both Trailblazer manifolds so I'm using those, but the truck one will fit on the passenger side.

That's what I was guessing, but it's great to ask someone with 1st hand experience. I was banking on the Silverado manifold working out as it is the only thing I have for the passenger side right now. Thank you.
