No problem just getting ideas. As for mounts I shimmed them with washers and it helped but still close but not touching now. I just need to cut sub frame now to clear alt and may clearance under pan some too.

As far as a harness I'm going with bp automotive. I've heard alot of great things about him and his willingness to help you troubleshoot after you install. He builds your harness to order so it's the way you want it not mass produced.

I am getting ready to install a 6.0 in a 67 camaro. I was told using a oil pan out of a gto and making it a front sump so that the lower portion of the oil pan sets in front of the cross member is the way to go. Has anyone done this?

Updates for install bought psi harness today, tcm, cross member from raptor transmission and raptor jr 4l60e rebuild kit. Pulled engine and spaced motor mounts and lets call it massaged front clip to clearance pan. Looks good on pan now also oblonged motor mount stands on frame and started to cut frame near alt for clearance. Put engine back in have clearance on pan now but need to clearance more for alternator.

Doug G I hope my pan looks like that when done that would be really nice. I heard that holley pan and gm muscle car pan are about the same but starting to wonder. I need to get trans installed then I will know.

Wish you luck.

Putting the LS3 "connect & cruise" package in my 68 Firebird. I used the Mast oil pan. Had the GM muscle car pan and it hung well below the crossmember. Also using Dirty Dingo Double D's motor mounts (mounted in the middle "standard" position) and Doug's headers. Got the GM Corvette accessory drive without A/C and the Holley A/C mount kit that mounts the compressor on top passenger side.

The gm pan does hang pretty low its the one I'm running. With the long tube headers it's not the lowest part. The new holley pan they just unveiled at sema looks promising. The harness you got from psi does it control high and low speed fans and fuel pump?
