ls1 intake install hey whats up guys. i know this has been gone over already, but im gonna ask anyway. i got my engine running with the truck intake but i just converted it to ls1 but cant seem to get it fitted. i have the pulley relocator. when i dropped the intake on top it didnt fit. so i took off the the steam pipe now it fit. now the water pump is in the way. sooooo. what steps do i need to take to achieve my goal?

Do you mean the neck of the water pump is hitting the throttlebody? If that's the case, you can grind away some of the metal on the throttlebody arm where the cable connects, and using a ball peen hammer, you can gently massage the water neck so that there is a dent where the throttlebody arm is. It will be close, but you can make it fit.

need to know which throttle body you are using.
I have a ls6 intake on a truck motor with a cable throttle body.
-cut the bracket and relocate the pulley
-heat up the truck water pump right at the neck, turn the neck to the left, it will just barely clear the throttle body but it will work.
I ended up pulling the neck out and having the hole welded shut, then had a fitting welded to the front side of the water pump. So now it's a truck pump that looks like a fbody pump.

Dirty Dingo Motorsports makes a set of spacers that move the water pump out for the truck belt spacing. It is also has a tapped hole for the steam line fitting, and includes the longer bolts necessary. Not real expensive.
