$800, included wiring harness, computer, fuse blocks, a/c, airbox/MAF, etc.
had 32,000 miles on it and the ears on the block where the bell housing bolts up was cracked but easily repairable.

I've bought 2:
1.) A '99 LS1 for $2316, shipped, 81k miles on it (all electronics & accessories included), with an '01 T56 for $1450 shipped, 22k miles on it
2.) An '01 LS1 with auto tranny (all electronics & accessories included), $4500 shipped, with 18k miles on it
I found both of these on Ebay. I am putting the '01 engine into my '89 Formula with the T56, and the '99 engine and 4L60E into a '91 Camaro RS

i bought a '99 LS1/T56 with pedals ,pcm , harnesses, slave cyliner , fuel lines , gas tank , fuel pump , a/c stuff , all accessories for 4500.00 and the car had 43k . the engine/trans had been very well cared for and is spotless. i know that's a little pricey but it was local and i knew the individual who was selling it .

Reviving this thread in an attempt to gain some current info as to what I should pay for an LS1. I just joined so I need as much help as possible. Where to buy from? How much do I need to be prepared to spend? Even some g-body fitment with A/C info would help a lot.
FYI, I'm looking for an LS1 & Auto Trans (4L60E I think it is) with accessories, harness, ecm, fuel plumbing....what else did I miss?
Looking forward to hearing from you guys.

If anyone is interested in a ls1 t56/4l60e combo let me know. I sell these motors on ebay and locally all the time. most combos have anywhere from 30k to 90k on them. pm me if you are intersted in getting a setup from me. they come complete with everything you will need to make it run, and some handy wiring diagrams i have. im loacted in the wichita KS area. PM ME if interested!
all setups run around $4000 or less depending on mileage

Mine is not an ls1. It is a 5.3L lm7. but I bought the whole truck for $800. It was a 1999 silverado z71 with 80,000 miles on it. well taken care of by an older man. He only took it fishin. I'm close to finishing it up but still got a bit to do.

What kind of lead time do you usually have on finding one?

I also got a 5.3 (LM7) 4l60e combo for dirt cheap. $500 bucks from a local junkyard. I sold the trans for 300, so basically the engine came to about 200. I'm using the savings for a T56 and a turbo system. Should be fun and different.
