Isn't the 3550 a ford tranny? What did you use to adapt it?

Yes its a ford trans. Quicktime Rm-6037 bell housing is for ls motor and ford t5, tremec 3550 or jericho. Im still using factory style clutch cable also.

Im guessing you used a mustang clutch disc to mate up with the Tremec input shaft, is the mustang pressure plate able to handle the LS1? What pilot bearing did you use?

Did you need to modify the clutch fork to work with the factory cable set up? I'm just starting my swap into a 95 and I'd like to go with the T56 but stay cable. I haven't done a whole lot a searching on the subject because I'm a ways away from gettin to that point but what little I have looked up it looks like it may be a pain.

i used a custom spec stage 3+ they made for me. its an 11 in ls pressure plate and disc for my input. I used a pilot bearing from modern driveline. its just a brass bushing style. id prefer a roller bearing but couldnt find one.

I used a 96-88 clutch fork being its 1 inch longer. I did have to massage the floor board to clear the fork but nothing too bad. I just got it driveable and the clutch/trans works great. Gotta say it feels stronger on motor than last "ford" combo on spray lol.

I still haven't started figuring out my combination, Ford T56 Magnum to LS block and using cable clutch but your deal sounds very promising. I'd be happy if QuickTime had a BH for my setup so I don't have to change adapter and input shaft.

thats a nice piece u got there. Only thing about the 6 speed is its easier to make it work with a hyd setup. they make an entire kit to convert it to hyd.
