I'm using stock truck intake, water pump and power steering pulley and the alternator bracket in my 71 and have enough room. I do need to shorten my drive shaft but i figure i'll come out cheaper and less head ache than buying and mounting a new pulley and changing the water pump. I think you only need a different water pump if you are using a LS1 intake.

Use the stock hoses and just modify them to fit. Should work, if not I'll find something

Cleaned the floors up and removed the old insulation. Going to paint them up after I get the bucket seat brackets in and welded

I asked about a radiator hose last month and found that the stock one works fine after cutting some off at the radiator side.

Are you using headers? If so what kind.

New SFI flywheel in and trans mounted with stock cross member. Not sure why people are going with aftermarket cross members cause mine fit great. TRans pan clearance is a little low but might be fine

Yea I found the stock ones fit too, just haven't put mine on yet but test fitted them already. How did you hold the upper hose?

As for headers I'm making my mind up if I go 1 7/8" or 1 3/4" primary headers. Need to make sure it clears the steering shaft. And I'm cutting cost (need to save for drive shaft) on the headers so going with the Speedtech ones, heard good things about them.

Speedtech makes good stuff and they are good guys to deal with, I'd buy from them again. Car looks cool, are you keeping that wood grainish dash or swapping it up

Good to hear about them. Just wondering how tight the 1 7/8" primaries are going to be to the steering box
