Fuel System Help (64 Impala)
So right now the system is completely stock and I'm having a hard time deciding the best route. I'm considering a modified tank ready for fuel injection like this:
http://www.tanksinc.com/index.cfm/pa...rod/prd409.htm
Then I can run an in-tank pump such as the Walbro 450:

What are your opinions on a set-up like the one mentioned above? Am I spending too much and I should just sump my stock tank to run an in-line pump? I'd have to pay to have this done and I'm not sure that I'd be saving much in the long run. Let me know your similar experiences.
- You aren't going to find a factory fuel injection tank that fits your car without heavy modification to the car, tank or both.
- A factory fuel pump is not going to do much beyond factory power levels.
Which raises the question why waste time trying to modify a 40 or 50 year old tank when someone sells a new one ready for what you need for less than it would cost (in time and effort) to modify the original?
Then for around $300 you can buy the new ultra quiet holley 12-1800 twin pump and mount it external, (Or internal)
You could also just get the 12-1400 pump.
I also bought some rubber fuel pump isolators from race part solutions

Also wasn't aware of the EBAY pumps being knock-offs. Appreciate the heads up guys.
