Anyone relocating coil packs in early F-body?
I haven't heard of anyone relocating their coil packs in a 67-69 F-body. I want my motor to look as clean as possibe, maybe with some C5-R valve covers. Where could I put the coil packs without having being too visible? The 4th gen cars can have them put under the cowl, but since we dont have one like that, has anybody thought about putting them elsewhere?

I remember seeing some bulkheads for mounting the coil inside the car on non-HEI racecars, so I guess about 8 of those would work ok. I think they were in either Summit or Jegs. May check on those when I get home.

Mark and I built some custom brackets based upon the year one model. I don't rememberthe specifics, but we bought some 1 1/2" aluminum angle and created a "cup", that bolts onto the back of the head, and then used SS washers, SS threaded rod and alumunum tube as spacers. This is for his 1963 GS Corvette conversion. Hopefully he will chime in.

Here's a pic of the driver side bracket. My only hope is that they clear the firewall, otherwise an alternate location will be required. I won't know about the clearance until I get the body from the body shop.
