I was surprised to find out the mustang got the "Best of Show" award with the Southeastern Foxbodies club at the Charlotte Auto Fair last weekend. They are a good group of guys, I was happy to find that while being Ford guys "most" of them can still appreciate a mustang even if there are no ovals cast into any of the engine parts. Here's a few pics and a short video. I guess the street/strip car turned out to be a street/strip/show car .

Thanks.
I thought the orange paint would tip everyone off but there were a few that had no clue and were asking where the distributor was and why I went with 8 coils. My dad wanted to paint the block blue and use some ford racing valve covers to hide the coils. It is what it is, I have no desire to camflauge it. Love it or hate it, it usually makes for good conversation

I am planning on doing a Blue Oval swap soon and I actually plan to run the front mounted distributor set-up from GM Performance. The distributor will only function to drive the cable drive tach. I'll run the wires under some coil covers.

I got one of those trophies last year in my Vette club.
Good thing you weren't there a few years ago when they hand painted the trophies beige!
Nice looking ride - where was your mustang club parked at?

Thanks everyone.
The dash is out of a 94-04 mustang. I'm not sure exactly what year but since it's missing the clock in the center I think it's 99+.
The chrome does match the car better than beige! We were parked between pit road and the front strectch near turn 1. We were right beside the BMW club along the paved curve that forms the small oval in the pit area.
