The last few days got a lot of tig welding done.
My friend and I are building a Volvo T5 w/ hy35 swapped e36.
We made a new oil pick up tube from scratch and shortened a t6 oil pan and redid the front section to clear his rack/subframe. Came out awesome. Then I got all the welding done on my down pipe, it's such a good feeling to make something from nothing and progress with quality as time goes.

Thanks, just got a new job welding/fabricating.

It's time to get rid of all the yellow and get a bunch of stuff powder coated and ceramic coated. My brother does all the powder coating, can't wait to see it all done and the brakes to match.

Dei sleeves for the yellow plug wires

Cool, thanks! Have you found it to only really need 20CFH as it is advertised? I probably need to get one.

I usually run it at 25cfh but I'm sure it could go lower no problem.

My brother powder coated my brakes, turbo, and valve covers.
Can't wait to get it all on and out on the road.
Strange engineering driveshaft showed up too.

Thanks, my brother just fired up his m52 turbo swapped 240.

Bought a full set of dimple dies and tried them out on my radiator cover.
Came out pretty nice for my first try.

Thanks, dimple die set is from Swag Off-road for like $540. Hydraulic knock out setup was like $80 from harbor freight.

Did some work on my brother's car and in return got my stuff ceramic coated.
The white/silver on the down pipe is chrome ceramic, I still need to polish it.
Got one manifold all wrapped, I'll finish up tomorrow after work.
Also for those wondering the driveshaft fit with just a little hammering of where the old center support used to mount.

Thanks, not everyone understands the time the little stuff really takes so it's nice to have someone appreciate it.

Getting closer, still need to polish the chrome ceramic coating on my down pipe.
My brother still has to powder coat my front calipers and breather box so I can make hoses. I'm kind of amazed how close this thing is to being complete.

I'm on the edge of my seating waiting for some in car GoPro. Perhaps a track day, at least the first drive and on boost moments ...... even some DYNO footage will be satisfying.

You are really close!

Hey dude don't know if you ever saw my comment but was wondering if you've had any overheating issues with your heater hose blockoff? thanks man, Jeremy

Thanks for all the interest guys, I've been slacking on the e30 but I promise I'm getting back to work on it. Not much to update, slowly chipping away at the little odds and ends on e30.
Put the driveshaft in for good, redid fuel cell vent so my garage stopped smelling like gas, finished up pulley setup and put on a belt, had powder coating redone, put downpipe back on. Lost oil pressure in my m106 swapped e28 so I sold off the turbo setup and swapped in a 5.3 with a big cam, plan on putting on a procharger I picked up for a deal.
