Default Front 1x GTO cam sensor?

Is there a difference in the front cam sensor of the early GTO's? Some early 2005 LS2 motors were 24x/1x setups using the front cam sensor location. Can't find a part number for the early 1x cam sensor and all online retailers show all the from cam sensors as the same part number. GM changed voltage when they went from the 1x to the 4x too. I've read that the 4x sensor will work. Looking for a definite answer if anybody knows.

I found pictures of an 2005 GTO LS2 engine teardown and it had a 1x cam sprocket and a BLACK cam sensor on the front cover. Does anyone know the part number of this sensor. Online retailers all show the same part numbers and at least reference the same picture of the greyish/tanish sensor. Thanks.

Crank sensors are different. Don't know about VVT covers but aside from that, according to Rock Auto, front cover cam sensors all have the same part number from 2005 thru 2013.

Thank you for all the input. I've come to the conclusion too that all front sensors are the same. As stated above, RockAuto and most other retailers list only one front sensor. Napa's sensor is black but the part number crosses to ACDelco 213-3826 and GM 12591720.

We use LS2 front covers with LS2 cam sensors on the 1x cam gear all the time. Works just fine!

Old thread, but I have the same question as OP but don't believe it was answered.

I pulled the LS2 from my 05 GTO and it did NOT have the cam position sensor on a plastic bracket on the front cover to the right of the crank. I believe it was just one connection above the crank to the right.

I got a donor LS2 from an 05 vette and it does have the cam position sensor mounted at the bottom of a curved piece of plastic to the right of the crank. It's a harness of sorts with two connections.

Did GM add or remove this bracket at some point in the LS2s?

Am I good to just plug up at the bottom of this plastic bracket?

Should be the same white sensor in the front cover, that little adapter harness was on there because there was a cross over in the wiring if I remember right. Seen some cars with that and some without it. If you have it you wire the harness to the Cam Sensor Schematics out there and plug into that connector at the bottom of the plastic bracket. I've done it and it worked fine.
I have the 1x Cam Sensor here in a box here if the part number is needed since that guy said he couldn't find it.

That's for the Crank Sensor, not the Cam Sensor which is what is being asked here.

The bracket and the little jumper harness actually swaps pins A and C, so be careful. Are you using a stock ECU or Holley EFI?

Stock ECU. What should I be careful about? Can I not just plug up to the bottom of the harness? I found some old posts showing some people that eliminated the bottom plug, using only the top one. Would that be the way to go?

The stock ECU should have a plug that mates with the adapter and bottom plug. As I recall, the plugs are actually different. Meaning the sensor plug and the adapter plug are not the same.
