91' coupe, ls1/t56, full interior and body, power windows, no a/c, 5 lug cobra front, drum rear, full tubular suspension, 17" sc knock offs, 3160lbs

not matter how you slice it, the Mustang fox body is a very light platform for an excellent power to weight ratio.

When I hear people hating on the LS swapped mustang I always say its like builting a DREAM TEAM. You get the best of both worlds!!

Light body
strong rear end with factory 4 link
short wheelbase

badass strong motor
badass strong trans

What more could you ask for?

Fiberglass bumper is no lighter then older steel one. Pulled front out of my 90 and it was fiber but still heavy as ****. The steel inserts and the absorption bars are what makes them heavy still. Mine weighed 22lbs.

Just remember scales can be off from place to place so it gives you a good guide line if you use the same one. Years ago on a class car that had to be a certain weight we missed it by 125lbs over and didnt have ballast to take out. So we learned to use their certified scales for a starting point.

I believe their scale was accurate, as when I spoke to some of the other drivers they said it pretty much was spot on.
