I have a 2003 LQ4 bottom end with DBW harness and pcm. I recently bought a pair of L92 heads, LS3 intake with rails and injectors. I also have the L92 throttle body with gold blade.

I've been told in order to use my harness and pcm I'll have to run a silver blade LS2 throttle body... is this my only drive by wire option? Besides the expensive DBW TB's. Is it possible to use the L92 throttle body? Is the L92 throttle body the same as the LS3? I'm not positive the year of the L92 but I think its a 08-09 model.

I had read on pro touring that you could use the LS3 throttle body but reflash the pcm to a corvette and it would operate. I think that would also require me to change my TAC module and pedal also?

Any help will be appreciated. I've searched and only come up confused with what I've found.

I proved you can run either Gold or Silver it really does not matter. There is an adapter made for this to switch from your existing 8 wire to the 6 wire. I can't recall the name but it is out there. You will only need to switch the 2 wires that open and close the plate to make the TB operate correctly.
I am using the gold plate with LS2 ECU. Lots of guys said it would never work.

I'm bumping my old thread in hope for an answer.

I now have a lot of parts for my build. I'll be running a iron 6.2 with L92 heads, LS3 intake manifold and injectors. I also picked up a silver blade LS2 throttle body. My question is will the 2003 DBW truck harness and TAC control the LS2 throttle body? I've read it will work and the PCM will control it. I've also read it won't work. Just looking for a solid answer from someone who has done it.

Which PCM are you using now? Is the 6.2 a 24 or 58 tooth reluctor?

The 6.2 will be a 24x. I'll be running the 2003 blue/green DBW 6.0L PCM. IIRC they call it a 411? I have the harness which I have converted to stand alone with a BP automotive diy kit, the truck pedal and TAC.
