1995 Impala SS 99 LQ4 Hi, a friend and myself will be swapping a 99 LQ4 into our friends 95 Impala, while he does his USMC Aviation Mechanic schooling.This build will be a tear down, clean, and rebuild. As the car sits right now:
-150k LT1
-TB Air foil
-BBk shorty headers
-S10 converter
-Shift kit
-3:42s
-Mail order tune
-Blowmaster exhaust
-Eibach lowering springs
And we shall be making the switch to a cam/Bolt-on LSx
-LQ4
-Gasket, bearing, & seal kit
-Swap mounts
-LS1 241 heads
-LS2 Intake
-High volume oil pump
-Attitude V2 cam + Brian Tooley cam kit
-1.8 Rockers from Comp
-New lifters + trays
-Muscle car oil pan
-Pacesetter long tubes
-4L80E
-4L80E crossmember
-Trans-go HD2
-3200 Monster converter
-Extended rear upper & lower control arms
-Walbro 255
-Corvette regulator/filter

A 1988 Monte SS the friend I teamed up with for this project, he recently swapped LM7 with a LS1 cam in and sold the engine, it's waiting for a bigger LSx!
And lastly my 96 SS, I've posted about my LS7 deal. I knew the block was cracked my plan was Darton MID system BUT come to find out a chunk missing at the bottom of the cyclinder, stole that dream >
Now it's on the back burner until I get a replacement

krwyellowZ28 I will for sure !!! The block is getting cleaned and new bearings put in, the crank is getting cleaned and polished, just dropped those off today. The harness has been out for about 2 weeks(need to call and check up on that) also just sent the PCM out yesterday. I was hoping to have it done in time to take it to Herd Fest but sadly that's not going to happen

Update Have been busy since last Thursday, had the motor assembled, valves lashed, old motor/trans pulled, engine bay clean and and, and the new motor and trans sat in.
