Congrats on the getting the press. Like I said before that intake setup is awesome. I love to listen to the people bitching about it also. Like one of the posters said in your defense; "Why don't you go out and build something?" ROFLMAO

It was a great trip for sure. I am too old to give a **** what a bunch of internet warriors think about my car. All I know is that I had several people come up to my car and tell me that it was their favorite at LSFest. Hell, even Kyle Tucker stopped by and was grinning from ear to ear.

I had a chance to meet Mark in the hotel parking lot where I was staying for LS Fest. He brought his bad *** truck all the way from Canada to the event and he is the first truck to compete in Targa Newfoundland. He was kind enough to post some pictures of the Cougar....

In the market for a new starter...it was suggested to look into the 5th gen camaro. I see you picked one up for$110, did you get that at the gm dealership? I also read that you may need to do some trimming to fit...was that the case? I looked through your build but i didn't find any info on that.

Thanks

Leon

Leon,

I got my 5th gen Camaro starter fro Amazon., along with the bolts and the pigtail connector.

I am using a f-body bellhousing, and all I had to do was bring the inside of it a little to make everything fit together.

So the starter fit without any mods? Do you by chance have any part numbers? I did copy the picture of the heat shield and can read the GM part number. Thanks again.

The starter heat shield and the little bolts that hold it in place I got from the dealer. I don't have the part numbers handy, but there is a thread where someone else posted those parts.

The nose of the starter is a little thicker than older starters. I am using a F-body t56 bellhousing and I used a Dremel tool with an 80 grit flapper wheel to clearance the inside of the bellhousing where the starter pocket is. It was minimal.

You kids get so excited...LOL

Sometimes it is a challenge to see cars in the right lane, so I make sure that I am careful.

It made 325 rwhp, there is a dyno video on the previous page.
