I've only made it to page 9 so far but I just had to commend you on your impeccable attention to detail. Over the years I've been learning and trying to improve and perfect sanitary layout of wiring and plumbing (TheBandit's work has previously been a huge inspiration for me). But after seeing all your detail on the injector and coil wiring, and after you posted the link to ProWire I just had to say thank you. That website is a goldmine of automotive electrical pr0n, after I've been mixing and matching Deutsche and Metri-pack connectors and TXL/GXL wire sourced from Mouser, Digikey, Wirebarn, and eBay.

Keep up the outstanding work (if you're still working on the Cougar.. I still have another 34 pages to read!).

Hey Joe...

Thanks for the kind words!

The Cougar has been leading a quiet life and not getting much attention other than driving it! My first set of drag radials are showing chords, so I am in desperate need of tires...LOL

Hello Everyone,

Some of you may know that I have a little YouTube channel. I've had it for a few years now and I enjoy making videos that I think will benefit people in some ways. I've covered things like simple gun modifications, car related projects, and even BBQ.

A few days ago Google sent out an email to all of their video creators stating that if smaller channels do not meet certain minimum requirements, then they will no longer be allowed to monetize their content. Although I don't have many videos, some videos that I have made have gotten quite a bit of views and are watched regularly. What I don't have is the minimum amount of subscribers. The new YouTube rule is that I need at least 1000 subscribers (I currently have a little over 400).

This is a hobby for me and I enjoy making an occasional video for the same reasons that I enjoy documenting my builds. My Cougar build thread has over 700 pictures which document what I have done and it also has a lot of technical details that I think other people benefit from. I am certainly not making a huge amount of money from my content, but it is fun to get a check from Google once in a while. For full disclosure, so far I've made a whopping $400 over the course of 4 years. Not exactly life changing...

I am asking for everyone's help in reaching the 1000 subscriber mark in the next 30 days. This is a tall order considering it has taken me years to get where I am today. So I am asking for your help! This is a great community and I would appreciate it if you would be kind enough to subscribe to my channel and share any videos that you might find useful.

My channel can be found here:

https://www.youtube.com/user/projectgattago

Thank you all in advance!

Andrew

I thought I was subscribed but was not. Either way, I am now.

Isn't it weird how certain videos get tons of views. 47k views for a smoked chicken wing video???. I bet you didn't expect that to be your #1 most viewed vid.

Should be ok as I can barely post here --- no idea what "posting to a thread" on youtube even means....

I think Michael Yount is asking about being subscribed to a Youtube channel. Doing so just lists the subscribed-to channel in your list of subscriptions and makes it easier to locate the content.

I assume G Atsma is referring to subscribing to a thread on this forum which most definitely does not require receiving an email "EVERY FREAKIN TIME someone responds to a thread you have posted to." There are thread subscription options which allow you to choose email notification.

Part of having a channel has always been to see what people find interesting. The smoked wings one was a big surprise. I have a CZ75 video that I did even before that and it now has 85K views. The video that I made about flaring tubing for AN fittings has also been really popular.

I really appreciate everyone's support!

Andrew
