Fuel tank venting

Chevette swap in process. Using the stock tank and stock fuel pick up with an inline fuel pump. Recently dawned on me that there's no vent line on the pick up just a feed and return. Do I need to vent this somehow? Maybe with a vented cap?

If there is no perversion for a vent and the cap is not vented. Add a vent port or use a vented Cap.

Most likely you will have some issue sooner or later with no vent.

My 76 Sunbird that I did a v8 swap on when I was 16, had feed and vent line(not a return) with electric in tank pump(5 psi) ran off of a oil pressure safety switch from factory. Had a non vented cap but had charcoal canister for vapor. I think the Chevette is the same way.

Gas tank vent

If you decide to run a vent line make sure it extends past the bottom of the tank just in case of a rollover. I think TANKS sells a vent with a ball check or rollover valve.

The chevette has a feed and a return, I'm positive because I took it apart and it's already properly hooked up. I read a couple of guys have literally drilled a whole in their gas cap to act as a vent. This seems like the easiest route
