Yes The half shafts and driveshaft is different between v6 and v8 so are hubs. V8 only drive shafts are different due to length difference between auto and manual and slip yokes. The actual diff is the same auto or manual on v8 only gear ratio is different.

So you need a v8 diff auto or manual. It wouldn't matter either one if you are swapping gears. You said half shafts and hubs come with the kit, but not drive shaft. If it specifies drive shaft, then purchase the one they recommend.

The kit comes with DSS axles, hubs, studs, and the driveshaft. They say a 2010-2014 Camaro SS differential is needed, so from what I've picked up, I will either need a 2010-2014 V8 Camaro differential. Either auto or manual will work, but the only difference between the two is the auto a 3.27 and the manual is the 3.45?

Sweet! How big of a difference is there between the 3.27 and 3.45? I have a T56 6-speed transmission. I would go for the 3.45, but I can get a 3.27 for $400.

I offered $350 for it, and he took it. Couldn't pass that up with 27,000 miles!

Less likely to blow the tires off. Maybe .10 sec in the 1/4. You probably won't even notice a difference as far as seat of the pants feel.

How much torque will a stock clutch hold on one of these motors? Should I upgrade to an aftermarket one if I'm going to be in the 450 rwhp range? What are high quality brands in the V8 community?

LS3 heads eyed make your horsepower goal easier to obtain. Most LS3 headed 6.0 motors I seen put down north of 460 rwhp depending on the camshaft.

That's where I want to be. I decided to pick up the ported and built LS6 heads from Texas-Speed and sell my 317 heads. I think those should get me right around there as well. What's the best way to figure out the specs I will want for my custom cam? Should I just go to the guy and tell him what I have done to the motor, and he'll come up with something that will work without any valve clearance issues?

I'd have Texas Speed recommend a cam for the combo, since you are getting the heads from them.

Any 6.0l GM head gasket will work? The oil and coolant passages are all the same?

I know which ones I'm buying now, but I'm just more interested in the comparison of different heads with different blocks. I'm sure there's a thread on it already, but I can't find it. Trying to learn.

I recommend Brian Tooley for a cam or Martin at tick.

I'd be glad to help you with a cam!
