1965 A-body, which booster fits
1. Will an 11" booster work in a 65 with an ls1?
2. will a hydroboost booster work in a 65? If so, does it have to be flipped upside down?
I added that with an upsized GM truck master cylinder larger bore (1 1/4"). This reduced the required pedal travel and gives a very solid pedal. My old truck has 11" discs and metric calipers upfront and the large truck drums on the Ford 9". Braking system feels like a new vehicle.
I think with your setup, you could use OEM Delco hoses to the booster, too, which are very reasonably priced.
With my vacuum boosted setup, the braking (feel) sucked. Could barely lock them up with high foot pressure and lots of pedal travel.
Some old NASA ergonomics studies show brake modulation (with a human leg) is easier with very low travel and firm (high) pressure rates. Intuition might suggest differently. I know my real world experience aligns with the NASA studies, having driven many different vehicles with different braking systems.
