Pos is overheating a lot,I think I wasted a head gasket going to the track. Temp went up to 230 degrees. Other than that it runs ok a few drivability issues still learning this efi crap. 12.30@112 -2.0 sixty foot. I weighed the car at the track 3790lbs. It's going to take more than 10lbs to push this porker into a ten, which is my goal. I'm going to need a transbrake and a bigger radiator. Head studs and ls9 gaskets needed. Would like some lighter wheels too...

Great pass! If your trying to keep the thing a budget street sleeper and want to go tens i don't think a T-brake is totally necessary. Thats usually a good chunk of change. Get a bigger rad with some good fans, some ls9 head gaskets and some china studs and footbrake that pig into the tens! With some more boost of course lol

I traded my 402 6.0 stroker for an LQ9 and cash.I believe this would be quick to spool and E85 would help cool the Motor and intake charge. I would need Teflon lined hoses and possibly pump and injectors. Just a thought though ...

I decided to stick with this bitch of a motor and am replacing the head gaskets and going back with my old cam 218/218 .604/.604 113. It spools faster than the cam I put in it when I fiixed the broke piston ,bent rod and file fit the rings. That was a comp 273 xer 224/230 .580/.588 114+4 it had a nice lopey sound but didn't spool as good as the first cam.

Ls9 gaskets again sprayed with copper gasket spray

Getting closer to done again

Be interesting to see if it picks up with this cam.

It built boost so much faster with this cam! I wanted a TU1 cam but it was back ordered for 3weeks and this was on sale through competition products. I've been a customer for years and their customer service is badass👍

Got it going again and had to work out a tranny problem(no not Bruce Jenner) turned out to be a faulty governor switched it out now it's better. I added another spring to the wastegate and upped the boost to 15 psi and man does it move! Need to figure out why it runs hot though so yeah, things are getting better!...

No meth just Sunoco 93octane 83 degree weather 93 percent humidity.
I have a Holley HP computer so I'm using a tune from the included software . Honestly it's worth every dollar I paid for it! I'm super glad I bought it because no one wants to help you learn efi tuning and taking a class isn't practical or cheap...the Holley efi is user friendly plus you can add boost control and meth injection. Oh and thanks for the compliments

Right on man, just found your thread and remembered you had posted in mine a while back.

Car sounds like it is running pretty good other than being on the hot side.

Looks like you have swapped radiators a couple times from the pics but can't tell for sure, have any of them made a difference? Which fans are you using and what temp is your tstat?

Hope to see more vids soon!

I'm using a radiator for a 1970 C10 from Northern Radiator and some spal knock off fans dual 11". I'm not using a thermostat. I did have a 160' but that caused it to boil over (my bad didn't fill through top hose)so that's what's next on my list. It seems to be ok now but the trans is not
Shifting at low rpms. I replaced the governor and that fixed it for a while but now it does it again. I really want to run it down the quarter mile again and see how it does. It shifts fine wide open. I just have to find the problem with the transmission and temperatures. If not I'll trailer it to the track.
