I'd return that H3 pan if you can. I'd rather notch the crossmember for a f body pan. It works with the Hooker mounts, wont hang to low, and will clear a 4" stroke crank.

This site is a great source for information since just about any swap that is popular has been done before numerous times by the members here.

I spend 3 months on average developing each LS swap application we release, so I get the know the fitment and geometry of each vehicle platform on a fairly intimate level and have no problem sharing that info here to those that ask.

Ok, returning the H3 oil pan and I'm getting the Holley pan and mounts.

But some good news; I was at an auction sale of an old hot rodder who passed and I snagged an unused 9" housing and four center sections for $60. I think one of the gear sets is 4:11 which should match my T56 and cam nicely.

I also found a good set of 243s and they are currently on their way to AI.

I think I've also decided to bite the bullet and get an F-body accessory drive and then I only have to fab up one mount to move the A/C compressor. More updates in my build thread to come.

It sounds like you have a more comprehensive plan now, which you'll benefit from in the level of satisfaction you'll achieve with your swap. If you want to go all OE with your A/C system, you can upper-mount the GM R4 compressor (it's likely your car came with one) on the passenger side cylinder and reuse all the stock A/C lines, condenser and accumulator. Holley offers a bolt-on bracket for such purposes if you end up not wanting to make one yourself.
