Swapping the ls1 for a 6.0! Will i need to change the intake? Have a chance to pick up a tbss intake that's been cnc'd but not sure since my 6.0 came from a 2002 2500 pickup if it a direct swap!
Thanks, Shane

you need the intake from your car. the tbss would be too high for the hood. if you don't have your intake i would get a ls6 intake, even a ls2 would work if you made a adaptor plate for the throttle body.

Thanks! Any other problems i might run into on the swap besides swapping out some sensors? First time doing this but the more I read the more I think im wasting my time for very little performance gain!

It's very straightforward and simple. All I had to do was drill and tap a hole in the front drivers side of my block for the alternator bracket. Swapped over everything to include sensors, accessories, heads, and intake. Mine is a 2000 Fbody, but I doubt your 1999 will be much different.

I used my LS1 intake; everything will swap over from your car onto the 6.0L. The truck intakes are all too tall for an Fbody so you won't want to use that.
