Wrong wiring harness? Hi, i bought a Lm7 with a 4L60 here in Sweden. I also got a pcm and a Painless 60508 harness with it. Now i realize that the harness is for Ls1 engine. The injector connectors wont fit...
Im really frustrated because it was supposed to be a working kit...
So is it possible to use that harness anyway? Can i change the connectors or what? Will i get any other trouble? I think the engine is from 2003 but the harness says 1998-2002.
I dont want to change the intake. Im keeping it pretty stock.

Most 2003 LM7's came out of Silverados, and in 2003 they all went to DBW If its out of a van it will probably be DBC. Which do you have? With a. DBC engine you can use the LS1 harness, as long as its an F body style harness., and just change the injector ends.

Ok, the injectors are different but i been told that i could use adapters.
Everything else looks ok but the MAF that seems to have another kind of connector. What would you do – get another MAF or is it possible to change the connector?
And what is the sender (?) on the back of the LM7? I can't find any connector on the harness for that. Remember its a LS1 harness.

The correct harness would be 60217. As you've seen you'll need to change out the injectors or use adapters. For the MAF, you have a few options.
1. swap out for an ls1 maf (would restrict more air)
2. get a 3 pin to 5 pin maf adapter
3. delete the maf and do a SD tune, this would possibly require an IAT sensor as well, since I don't think you have one on it's own. It's merged into the maf.
The circled connector is the oil pressure sensor. It's not merged into the harness since it's just one wire that runs to the gauge.

Thanks for all your answers. Its really helpfull and sometimes its hard to explain what i mean in english..,
I have to look in to the maf-problem and i will get adapters for the injectors. By the way - there is a cable marked IAT in the harness.

IAT is the Intake Air Temperature sensor. It's built into your truck MAF which is why it has 5 pins rather than 3.
As for the neutral safety switch, it looks to be off a mid 70's-80's Chevy van, what part of it are you unsure about how to hook up?
