Yeah, I wish I had seen how you did your tunnel, mine's a mess(good thing for carpet!). your build looks so clean and straightforward.
Any issues with the AC bracket? I really want to put mine on and am going to look at cutting the clearance out like you have it.
Thanks about the tunnel, I looked online to see if anyone sold a tunnel and I decided I could probably just make one that fit exactly the way i wanted it.
As for the ac bracket I saw on here someone else thought of doing something similar. But everything clears nicely, I was on my phone so I was kind of vague on the details.
So the mount perches hung off the cross member from the factory. And the dirty dingo double d mounting plates were drilled for 4 positions stock bell housing, 11/16 forward, 1 11/16 forward and 2 1/4 forward of stock bell housing. So I needed the ac compressor to clear the mount not the adapter plate so I moved the perch back on the cross member back 1 11/16 then moved the mount on the adapter plate back to those holes. So its actually in stock bell housing position.
Other than that I haven't had any issues with clearance, I haven't spent the time to finish ac yet. I wanted to drive the car so I'll finish the ac over the winter.
LOVE this! doing it right with the bones first then the skin. One question: where did you get the sound deadener? is that peel and stick or? Links? Thanks
only issue I have had was the rear drums came apart while I was at the drag strip.
I need to see a picture of this, I can't wrap my head around how a drum comes apart??? Also, I kind of liked the look of the Centerline autodrags, I know they're dated but I always liked the set I used to have on my car....

Well the pins that hold the pads in place broke so everything moved around in the drum and started to bind hard. And I think it was to do with the fact I totally didn't pay attention to the primary pad I put the pads on backwards. Not sure how it happened but replaced the springs pins everything and now seems fine.
Also I liked the center lines but they don't offer a 5.5 backspacing on a 15x10 so I can tuck the 295s. And I wanted something different other than the traditional 5 spoke. I'm going to buy some 18s one day if I find some I want.

Thanks and it's the peel and stick I bought it off eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/190736907760 wasn't to bad to install and pretty cheap I bought the 50 Sq ft and still have quite a bit left to finish the back floor.
So I entered my chevelle in a local show not really building a show car just like to talk to other enthusiasts. But had everyone asking about my swap and I won the best engine category. I feel great about winning and I wouldn't have been able to get my chevelle running without everyone else's builds. I read and researched everything and learned from others mistakes. So thank you.
I was planning on new quarters this winter but might be buying a new house to keep the wife happy. So body work might be put off a little so not sure. I'm going to paint it white.
I'm actually doing a similar swap and I'm stuck on power steering hoses to stock a body steering . What did you use to convert Ls hose to stock a body?
I used stock chevelle hoses and ls powersteering pump and stock powersteering box. So only issue I had was going from flare to o ring fitting on the pump. I used one of these. http://www.speedwaymotors.com/O-Ring...ter,24682.html
Haven't had any issues or leaks yet.
