Default LS1 swapped 240sx S14 Issue

Hey everyone,

I have a ls1 swapped 240sx and I can not get it started. I have power to the chassis and the starter turns the motor, but I have no fuel or spark. My fuel pump isn't even priming when the ignition is in ON position. I have checked power to everything, pump, coils, injectors, and PCM. They are all getting power but the car wont seem to start... Any idea what else I could check/do to maybe fix the problem?

The car was running for about 4 months with no issues. The other day on the way to work it sounded like it was starving for fuel. When I pressed the gas it didn't do anything and once the car came to a stop it died and just turns over now. Any help is much appreciated.

VATS? When you say you checked power to pump, do you mean you had power there but still the pump doesn't run? That could be a ground issue. Did you maybe lose a ground from the chassis to the motor or similar? Have you connected a scan tool or better to see if the PCM is alive and responding?

VATS should be disabled, should be... Yes, there is power to the pump but it still doesn't run/prime. i pulled the pump and put it straight to the battery and it worked just fine. I connected my friends Diagnostic scanned and it wasn't picking up the PCM. I want to consider the PCM a last resort because they can be quite pricey.

If you have power to the PCM but no output to the OBD port, I would check continuity of the wires between PCM and port and then from ignition switch to PCM. If all that checks out, I think you have to look at PCM. Is the PCM properly grounded? Did you check OBD port with the key in the /on/ position?

I guess our budgets are all different but I've seen plenty of good used PCMs for $100-$150. Seems like a worthy investment considering if that is not the issue you can probably sell the extra back on the forums for about the same price.

OEM 411 PCM's can be had for about $75-150. You can contact LSXMalibu on here he usually has a few. Also, Wiring Specialties has some in stock usually and can sell you some.

Okay, so if I buy a 411 ecu how would I get it tuned to my swap? Because I don't know the VIN for the car it came from.

A few ways to handle this. I sent mine to Wiring Specialties since they made my harness. They did the base tune removing everything I didnt need/want for my S14 swap and thats it.
