Been stripping the engine compartment this weekend. Drained fuel tank. Removed fuel lines from front of cougar. Need to remove bumper mounts and front fender braces as they reside where the subframe will be cut. Bravada track is a little narrower than cougar, but it also used wheels with deep positive offset. I'll have to find some decent wheels to use. Either drill front rotors for ford patter, or ????. I'll figure that out later.

I pulled the transfer case off the 4l60, and it looks like I need to get a 32 spline input shaft for the TC to mate up with a turbo 400. I also need to find out which turbo 400 variant that is needed for this swap.

Why not use a 4wd 4L80E and it's transfer case?

I need a small transfer case, so it doesn't intrude too far into my floorboards. It also needs to be all mechanical. No wheel speed sensors or crap like that.

Lol. If it has **** or circuit boards, its gonna give you problems at some point. Or, if the planets aren't aligned perfectly. I will have electronics for injection and ignition though.
