It lives again..... Got the trans together and put in this morning..... The converter seems to be working good..... I think I am going to put the 83lb injectors back in, I think it will help the idle quality..... The 120's seem to be way too much at idle for a relatively small mild motor, It doesn't want to idle very good below 800..... I took a look at a couple things today and the injectors are only at .5% duty cycle when idling..... I have the 83' so I might as well try them, I think the low rpm and idle quality will improve.....

There is also something in one of the rear tires again..... This is like the 3rd time for these BFG's, they are like metal magnets.....

The 83s will definitely idle better and probably be able to support all the power that turbo is good for.

Great thing about the Holley software is that you tell it your new injector size and it will rescale the fuel table automatically.

If I were staying with gasoline the 83's are more then enough, on E85 they will be borderline..... That's why I decided to go 120's, but my motor is so small and relatively mild it just isn't getting it done..... I have said it before, this is my first go around with fuel injection and there is a lot to learn.....

And yes, Holley definitely makes changes like that easy.....

Put the 83lb injectors back in, idle and low end response has improved a good bit..... I need to get the new rear wheels/tires mounted tomorrow and it should be ready to drive again.....

I got the new rear wheels/tires mounted today and took them over to a buddies shop and balanced them..... Man the Mickey's are quite a bit bigger then the BFG's were, they are about 5/16" taller and 1/4'" wider and roll out is 1" more..... They barely fit in the fenderwell..... I brought it home so I could drive it some this week and let the efi learn with the changes I made.....

Here's the new one mounted and a couple of them on the car.....

If you snap the throttle from idle all 3.5lbs are in around 21-2200..... If I load it to 2800 on the foot brake and snap the throttle it's pretty much in when it reaches full throttle.....

I checked over everything on the car this weekend(plugs, tune, all nuts/bolts underneath, set shocks/struts, checked pinion angle and adjusted Cal-Tracs)..... I also dumped 5 gallons of E98 I had in the tank which got it up to E29 with the non-ethanol that was still in it..... I had a small issue with the tune then, but I figured it out since it was my screw up..... I drove it around some Sat and all seems good.....

This morning I went and got 35 gallons of E85(I checked it and it is E85) so I am stocked up for the moment..... Everything was going so well with it I decided to up the boost, I put 6.9 lb springs in the gates..... I took it out and made a little test hit, a low gear blast to about 5500..... It made 8.1lbs of boost, and everything was very safe by the log(I am just starting to get this log **** figured out)..... After I got done screwing around with it today I cleaned it up and was getting it ready for Wed night tune and test when I realized a I never painted the removable side bars for the cage..... So I cleaned them up and got some paint on them.....

I topped the tank off with E85, it looks like it's up to about E38 now..... I will be at the local 1/8 track Wed night for tune and test..... Hopefully all goes well, I guess we will see then.....
