engine light

on my pcm there is 2 wires labeled engine light , i did add a light to my dash , whats the wiring setup one to each side of light ??

Pretty sure there should be only one. What year engine/PCM are you using?

Looks like there is a pink and stripped blrown or something like that,
I was told that the light works off a ground?

No, the light works off a 12v ignition source, the PCM supplies ground. Its usually a brown wire, so hook it up to one side of the light and a key on power source to the other.

thanks nova what about the pink that is with it here is a pic ,, i think the PCM is from a 02 ?

Ok, thats an aftermarket harness. I assume it has a light in it somewhere? If so, the pink is most likley for. The ignition power source.

i added a light in my dash ,i grounded behind the cluster so i just run the pick to that wire ? and what about the brown ?

If you added your own light, hook power up to it, you can get power from a gauge or something, then hook thw brown to the other side, the PCM will control the light on the ground side on the brown wire. What does that pink wire go to if you follow it? It could be a PCM ignition wire or something.

i think it goes to the PCM dont know what port ill ,, so the brown goes the ground side of the light ,, ill have to change it behind the cluster
