Since you are dbw and no place to hook up the tv cable to the throttlebody for the 700r4, TCI makes a kit for the trans that run 100% line pressure all the time and eliminates the cable. Other wise you may have to convert to dbc and use bowtie overdrive's kickdown cable kit.

I would recommend using DBW. That is the only regret I have from my C10 swap. If you plan on using a 60E I would do DBW. Cruise control is super easy to install and the electric tb will drive better and get better mileage marginally speaking. If you are gonna use an older trans them cable would be beat bc you can use the tv cable.

Man I havent updated this in a long time! Theres been lots of updates but Ill have to do a bigger update another day.
Most importantly i got it running, but hardly driving. It idles mint but dies if I give it gas, but revs after I let off the gas.... I have 5/16 fuel lines so maybe too low of fuel pressure?
I decided to fix the frame before messing with that too much. Problem was when I leveled the front of the frame out I saw just how bent it was. The drives side frame rail was cocked, and the body mounts bent. So I said **** it, and looked for a frame. I found a 1977 SWB c10 frame for 5 bills so I drove 3 hours to get it and after some help from a buddy this is the result.

Now to figure out what to do with the bed......

Making progress takes a bit when money or time is a issue. My crewcab is running but not rite. Starts messing up and blowing black out tailpipes. So its rich I think I have 2 bad coils. The right side had valve cover broke and 2 coils took some of force. Its a spring finish job now.

I've done a c10 swap really cheap. I did an 87 stepside I got for $700. After motor and trans I had 2800 in it. Got 20 mpg and I daily drove it.
