Default LS4 Into an MGB

I've been in the process of swapping an LS4 into my MGB for about 2 years now. Bit by bit it's getting there. My first start happened last weekend so I thought I would share it here. Still a little ways to go to get it on the road but the end appears to be in sight. It's been a very enjoyable project and I'm learning a lot as I go. If you're interested, my build thread is here.

More details!
You used a transverse LS4 longitudinally mounted? What did you do for starter and trans?

Yes, it is mounted longitudinally. I mounted the starter in the usual place on the block. There are details about what I did here.

I'm using a Ford WC V8 T5 behind an S-10 bellhousing. There are a few options for transmissions that will work.

Here's a pic of the starter in the engine bay.

Edit: added image.

Nice solution to the starter, 148 tooth flywheel.
Keep posting, I'm considering an LS in an MGB or Spitfire myself.

Great job on the swap! Using the LS4 can pose some different challenges!

Thank you, I appreciate it! Besides being the most compact LS motor, one of the other reasons I chose it was because it was different.

Gary, I'll post major milestones here but my main build thread is on the British V8 site. There are some fabulous builds there so you may want to check it out if you haven't done so in the past. There is an outstanding LS1 TR6 here. And a great LS1 Triumph GT6 here.

Yeah, I've been following the MGB build. That's actually a local car here in St Louis. A little more extreme than my plans.
Guess, I'll be bookmarking your British V8 thread,

Gary,
What MGB build are you referring to?

Sorry, meant the hardtop, GT6 build. He started a thread here, and I've followed his other page.
