Well my low mileage good running 06 5.3 turned out to be a pre04 gen 3 with a seized piston. Got ripped off pretty hard.

So I went out and bought an 08 shortblock
Cleanest used motor I've ever seen.
Put the arp bolts in it this afternoon and put the Fbody pan on it

Sucks to hear about the 5.3 being crap. Any chance you can get your money back on it? At least you have a clean 6.0 to work with.

New motor is still a 5.3 just newer and much nicer.
And sadly the guy refused even a partial refund. Guess paying in cash isn't "insured enough" for the dirtbags of today.

We're gonna find out. But i believe it will. The mid-ram is terrible so it wasn't really an option.

Swapped the springs on my 241s.
Working on some fuel line stuff and making sure stuff clears. Looks pretty good I think. Need to finish painting some things and wait for my cam to show up so it can actually go together.

It's a tunnel ram. Same as any other. If you're gonna spin the **** out of it, sure. But you're going to give up low end power with long runners. Especially with smaller CI or a milder engine. There's better answers for an NA manifold, but yeah it'll technically work alright

On a big cubic inch solid roller motor, it wouls work well, but at that point you may as well go Super Victor with 4150/4500 TB.

That's what I did on my 98. Super Vic with a 4150 accufab. 7600rpm and pulled like a freight train

You know the specs, or will you not know until it comes? LJMS seems to be the turbo cam guy around these parts.
