Following this thread as I rebuild my 84 Regal T Type. I am having 2nd thoughts about the BRP swap kit and headers as this is another example of poor customer service by them I have read. I emailed questions about there kit and still no reply 1 month later!

RowJon13 take Jimmyg's suggestion which is also mine. Don't even think about going with the BRP/Hedman stuff. The Hooker/Holley kit is the only way to go. If the Hooker/Holley kit was out when I started my project that is the way I would have gone, but it wasn't. Besides you have toddoky on this forum if you should need any help. If I didn't invest in a Mark Williams 7075 aluminum driveshaft @ over $1100.00 I would rip the BRP/Hedman stuff out in a heartbeat. Rich
I have been following the Monte Carlo SS thread by "Todoky". The Holley/Hooker website has good info and the mounts look better coupled with the correct oil pan. Not crazy about the BRP kit using the LH8 oil pan which hangs too low for me.

Just compare trans cross members , the brp one looks real thin, like its part of a swing set or something . The hooker one just looks way stronger, more thought out. Almost looks factory

I could not use the BRP cross member because it fit like crap. I even put new body bushings ALL around. It was too short and also hit the underside of the floor pan. I ended up using the "Iceman" tranny cross member like so many other people have. Rich
Rich, thanks for the pics. You have some killer cars in your garage . What's that ls motor in , your t type? Car is sick! I'm def going with the street lites. What sizes did you go with? Jimmy

jimmyg, yes the LS376/480 PLUS is in my T-type. Those Street Lite's go on my wife's GN. I only have them on my T-type to see how they look. Those are 17'X8" with 4 1/4" Back Spacing. I am going to get the same wheels for the front but 17"X9.5" with 4 3/4" back spacing for the rear. As far as the car being sick, my wife is sicker with all the money I have spent on it. LOL Only kidding, she likes cars too. Her daily (good weather only) is a 2007 Trailblazer SS. That also has a "few" mods to it. Seriously I think that for the price of the Street Lites you can't go wrong. I forgot to send you pics of the GNX wheels but I think you know what they look like. It's just that I don't what to make a career on cleaning wheels. For the GNX I want than one BONE STOCK. Rich
I went with the Dakota Digital VHX myself. I bought a full compliment of Autometer gauges then Dakota Digital came out with the VHX line for my Buick. Oh well, only money. The Dakota Digital look good in your dash. I can't wait to see it with the Street Lites on it. Rich
Got a nice present in the mail yesterday. Circle d 3200 stall. Can't wait to install it . The converter in there now is way too tight car wants to drive thru lights and it will stall when I come to a stop with Ac on
I really like the direction of your build jimmyg and I hope to get the chance to see that car in person one day...hmm, maybe on the various tracks at LS Fest?
