Big Red 60 - 1960 Impala 5.3 swap
I hope to have this car completed for the 2015 Hot Rod Power Tour.
My plans include a 2002 LM7 5.3 , 4L60E combo out of an Avalanche, front disc brakes, vintage air, CPP 500 steering box. I want it to be dependable and comfortable. I am not going to do anything to the body. It has decent paint and interior.

Very nice Impala. I did the same swap, 2005 LM7/4L60E, into my 1959 El Camino. Makes a great, very clean, swap. Perfect for a driver. Looks like you have a good handle on what you're doing. I'm not a know it all expert, but let me know if I can answer any questions for you based on my experience.

Sweet looking car you have there. From experience I know you are just going to love the 5.3, as they start first time when you turn the key, and go well with great fuel economy also. A win all round.

The wheel in the photo above is off our 61, it is a 17 x 8. Discount tire had a killer deal last week so I pulled the trigger and bought these. 18 x 8 with a 255 45 18 tire.
I'm not sure which one I like best, I thought about sending them back and getting the same ones as on the 61. Let me know what you think.

The engine and transmission are in, fuel lines hooked up. Drive shaft in the shop getting shortened. Still doing some wiring and working on the a/c. I hope to have it running soon.
