Stock setup will fit right in. Even with the fans. I would have used it if my rad wasn't cracked. Just got the almuminum so I won't have to worry about that again. You will miles of room for your intake ducting if you decide to use it.

So what's your plan on tires? I have 255s in mine and they are getting abused. I had to roll my fenders to get them to work. I've heard of guys getting 275s to work but I genuinely don't see how.

Have a set of 2000 vette exhaust manifolds but they hit the motor mounts.I looked at some ls3 manifolds and those look like the ones to go with.it going to go slow for the next few months,AZ temps when I get of work are around 110,120 in the garage.

Well I pulled the motor back to hook up the trans.everything was going good till I tried to stab the converter in,it did not want to seat all the way in.FTI converter from summit, friend of mine brought over a stock one and it fit right in.the only difference we saw is the snout on the FTI is about 3/8 longer than the stock one.so now I have to send it back,on hold for another 2 weeks probably!

No progress!

I ran into a problem with converter fitment and found out that the 4l60 transmissions had at least 2 different bellhousings.

The bellhousing you have pictured looks like the earlier bellhousing that is shorter than the later.

It may not be anything helpful for you, but thought i'd share.
thanks I sent that converter back, and bought one locally, went in first try.put the motor and trans all in at once it was a pain by my self but it in,working on the exhaust now.
