9 Second A/C blowing,nitrous fed G body!

We'll i had no intentions of building another car but I could not pass up this g body malibu!! This baby is in its was from PA as we speak and it should get here Wednesday. I plan to have it ready by tx2k so I have already ordered everything and parts are coming in daily!

1978 G body malibu
6x,xxx on the clock
Porno red interior
Vortec 350 with th350
Grand national 8.5 rear end with 31 spline moser axles,true trac 3.70, billet caps and girdle.
Paid 4500 bucks!

Plan is to pull the motor and transmission as soon as she get here and this is the combo I'll be putting together.

LQ9 stock shortblock
Trickflow 205cc heads 58cc chamber (12:1)
23x/24x camshaft
Black Fast 102/ Black NW 102 TB
Nitrous outlet Plate (200-250) Hardlined -6 Feed
NOS Mini progressor 2
Hooker G body 1 7/8 headers
modified 3.5" collector to 3.5" X-Pipe and dual magnaflow race mufflers
Built 4L80E
Custom PTC converter 3400 on motor 4200ish on the gas
Iceman 4l80E crossmember
PSI harness
TRZ uppers and lowers
strange adjustable shocks front and rear
15x8 Weld Pro Star W/ Gen 1 275/60r15 Drag Radial
17x4.5 Weld V-series W/ MT Sportsman 28x6r17

I plan to keep everything stock on the exterior and interior except lowering it and puting the pro drag radials. Goals for the car are to drive to the track with A/C, run a 10.7x on motor and 9.50 on a 250 shot and the send the trailer cars packin while I drive off doing a huge burnout

stay tuned it should come together quickly.

Driver showed up last night while I was at work so my pops had to unload her. Washed her up this morning and I will sy this car is just as clean as I thought it was

you did good for $4500! That looks like a really clean car. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it. I have a soft spot for those cars

Drove her to the shop today and picked up the rear tires since the frame will be getting notched tomorrow. front wheels and tires along with 2" drop spindle should all be here tomorrow so if all goes well i can have some pics with the wheels on it.

the hooker headers will be here tomorrow as well, I'm curious to see the quality of them!

Got the front wheels on, still need to do something with the rear, likely paint them black for now. Assembling shortblock next week and hopefully I can have this thing running by the end of the month. TX2K is the goal!

Lol you know me too well!! Bought the coupe so plans changed. Bit. Although the Malibu now has a 383 with weiand blower for the street.

That sounds cool. How quick is it with the weiand on a 383. For some reason I've always wanted to do a combo like that.

Its nothing crazy, pro comp heads and a little can. Mainly just to cruise around in. No gear or converter either.
