Default Need advice: DBW or Cable?

I'm working on a Porsche Boxster swap and I gotta decide whether I should go with DBW or cable throttle. I was offered 2001 Z06 PCM, TB, harness, TAC modules, and gas pedal for $700 shipped to go the DBW route. Should I decide to go the cable route, how much would it cost me to get a full setup? Lets say if I got LS1 PCM, harness, throttle cables, IAC, TB and whatever else I may need? Difficulty wise I think both projects would be equal, since its a mid engine car. I would have to figure out a way to route a throttle cable, which I have no experience with. Also keep in mind that I'm not going to run cruise control.

Thanks!

For a mid engined car I would imagine that DBW would be the way to go just for the simple fact of losing the cable setup. No long cables to route and fight and possibly hang up and cause issues. Noob advice here so...idk.

I was thinking about the hang ups myself, but the early boxsters, 911s, and MR2s all came with throttle cables, so it shouldn't be a problem. With DBW option I will have to extend the harness quite a bit and swap out the stock pedal to a GM one, which I'm not really a fan of. All the tuning guys told me to go with cable so its easier to tune, but I'm also a noob so I have no idea which way to go

So do you have an engine now? A lot depends on what engine and year it is.

Yeah I have a 99 or 00 iron headed lq4, and a junkyard 4l80e. I also have a 5.3 from 2004ish. 6.0 intake is cable and the 5.3 is wire. Probably do cable because it's cheaper and easier.

If you already have a 2004 DBW throttle body, then I would use that. All you would need is a 03-05 TAC module and pedal, which can be found for cheap. You also would need the 04 PCM and harness, do you have a harness? PCM? The Vette stuff you mentioned in your first post seems crazy high.
